About Us

Spirit of Truth Deliverance Church (SOTDC) is a loving congregation of believers worshipping God in Spirit and truth. Founded in April 2000 by Elder Larry and Prophetess Geneice Brown, SOTDC is a worldwide virtual and in-person ministry designed to reach lost souls, empower disciples, and teach people how to walk in faith. SOTDC is recognized as a church of faith, teaching, deliverance, and love.

Our foundational scripture is St. John 4:23-24, and we encourage all people to become true worshippers of God from the heart. We endeavor to receive everyone regardless of how they come in the door and teach them how to grow and become better Disciples of Christ inside and outside of the church.

We demonstrate love and pray on their behalf. We connect new disciples and those not as mature in the faith with those who are spiritually mature and knowledgeable of the scriptures to help them grow (in time and study). SOTDC is a church committed to outreach and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We are a pillar of the community, and we work to meet the practical, social, and spiritual needs of people through community initiatives.

We collaborate with churches and agencies within the community to serve the poor, elderly, homeless, and those with other needs.

WHAT WE BELIEVE:

The Bible to be the inspired and only infallible and inerrant written word of God.
That there is one God, eternally existent in three persons, God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.
In the blessed hope, which is the rapture of the church of God, which is in Christ at His return.
That the only means of being cleansed from sin is through repentance, faith in the precious blood of Jesus Christ and accepting the gospel according to Romans 10:9-10.
That the redemptive work of Christ on the cross provides healing for the human body in answer to believing in prayer.
That the baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4 is given to believers who ask for it.
In the sanctifying power of the Holy Spirit, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. AMEN
